Comp Updates from Yesterday
6 Jun 2022 by Naomi key
Good Afternoon Parents.
Just wanted to keep you all in the loop and keep improving our communication with you regarding what’s happening behind the scenes within the club.
So Yesterday we attended Future Cheer into the future, which is a much much harder competition which scores more harshly than our previous competition at ICE.
With this in mind, both teams that competed saw HUGE increases in their score % which is such a testament to the hard work athletes have put in since that competition, and the work the coaches have put in to continuously improve the routines also.
Jades score went up 7.3% from the previous competition
and Quartz score went up 3.17% which is phenomenal.
Quartz especially were less than a 1/4 of 1 point (0.21) behind 2nd place, only and 1.12 point from 1st and had the highest difficulty scores in jumps, stunts and tumbling through the entire division which is a fantastic result.
The difference in scores within the division is tumble execution, which is the fastest growing part of the score sheets within our sport and has increased in emphasis season to season.
Responding to these changes within the sport, we will need to increase emphasis on tumble classes throughout the programme to remain competitive and will be offering a wider option of tumble classes and days starting September.
Between now and Bournemouth tumble classes and tumble drills at home will be key for increasing the drivers within these areas. As always you will get out what you put in, coaches will continue to offer tumble classes, as well as free classes on Sundays for extra tumble whenever possible and will also send tumble drills for athletes to do at home specific to the drivers they can improve on, Upon Request
Please do feel free to message us with any questions, we are incredibly proud of the results we received yesterday and the improvements made so far throughout the season. ❤
